Your company already knows the answer.
Ombo builds knowledge assistants that retrieve answers from your company's own documents, data and systems — and cite where each answer came from. Antwerp, Belgium.
Not a chatbot. A retrieval system that happens to talk.
Ombo is an independent practice in Antwerp building production-grade AI assistants for companies that have a lot of internal knowledge and not enough ways to surface it.
The core offering is retrieval-augmented generation — assistants grounded in your sources, evaluated against real questions before deployment, and shipped with the boring engineering rigor most AI projects skip.
Knowledge assistants, built on your data.
A knowledge assistant ingests your handbooks, contracts, tickets, wikis, drives and databases — then answers questions strictly from those sources, with citations.
- Strict source-grounded retrieval
- Inline citations on every answer
- Evaluation set agreed up front
- Refusal when sources are missing
- GDPR-compliant data handling
- Self-hostable on EU infrastructure
- Slack, Teams, web or API delivery
A four-step engagement. Boring on purpose.
- Discovery — We meet for an hour. You describe the knowledge problem; I ask uncomfortable questions about your sources, your users and the cost of being wrong.
- Evaluation set — Before any model is touched, we collect 50–150 real questions with the answers your team would consider correct.
- Build and evaluate — I build the retrieval pipeline, the answer layer and the citation surface. Nothing ships until accuracy and refusal behaviour are where we agreed.
- Deploy and maintain — The assistant goes live in Slack, Teams, your intranet or behind an API.
Why Ombo
EU-based and GDPR-aware. Antwerp-based, working in Dutch and English. One person — no account managers, no junior layer. Every assistant is measured against an evaluation set agreed in week one.
